What a fabulous time we had on our walk this week! The children were able to spot lots of exciting human and physical features in our area and were extremely interested in the dragline excavator on the nature reserve. Why not research what a dragline excavator is at home with your grown ups?
Year 2 had a brilliant day discussing the poem 'Magic' by Joshua Seigal. We split into groups to learn stanzas and actions then performed to Reception in the afternoon. Lots of fun was had by all and it was fantastic to see the levels of enthusiasm and confidence shown by our children!
We have had a wonderful day in Year 2 welcoming the children back to their learning and we are all very excited to see what fantastic things this year will bring!
In Year 2, PE lessons are on Thursdays and Fridays. We will send PE kits home at the end of every half term to be washed and ask for them to be returned when the children return to school.
Spelling homework will be sent home on Mondays to be returned to school the following Monday.
We ask that you support your child by reading with them for five short sessions a week. Little and often is key! Reading books and reading records should be brought to school every day.
